LMA Productions was recognized by Pleasanton's City Council on its 20th Anniversary of business in the community. LMA was acknowledged for its outstanding contributions in the field of corporate & marketing media productions.
The LMA Team
Our staff has a combined total of over 100 years of experience in or related to the media field. Over the years we have received more than 60 awards for excellence in video production, including the prestigious International Health and Medical Media Award, The Freddie Award. We have produced more than 2000 video projects, each different and unique, and each successfully meeting our clients goals. LMA is owned, operated and managed by the four principles which ensures our clients the highest level of customer satisfaction.
David Liskin - Founder
As a University of Maryland – Pre•Med grad, David took his love of science and combined it with his interest in television production and made the magic that would become known as LMA Productions.
After joining Nautilus in 1978 and working closely with its founder, Arthur Jones, David honed his craft, set off on his own and started the first iteration of LMA in Winter Park, Florida in 1981. His reputation as an expert in producing medical device and health content spread, bringing him to the West Coast for projects so often that he eventually relocated to the Bay Area. In 1986, he met former NFL Coach John Madden and forged a historic partnership. Together they started LMA Film & Video, a premiere 7000 square foot Bay Area production facility featuring a television stage & control room, on-location production capabilities and post production suites.
For over three decades, David Liskin has set the bar for excellence in the video production industry.
Thaddeus Coberg - Partner & Senior Producer-Director
Thad brings almost 30 years professional experience in the creation and management of film, video and multimedia projects. As an award winning Producer / Director, Thad understands his craft, but more importantly, its dichotomy: art and business. As the former department head and Executive Director of a corporately owned regional production facility, he supervised and managed all of its business activities. He brought his artistic sensibilities to LMA in 1997, but it was his leadership and organizational skills that took the company to the next level.
Thad produced and directed LMA’s award winning television program about Stroke entitled, “Time is Brain.” Winner of the prestigious FREDDIE Award, bestowed by the International Health and Medical Media Awards, this program highlights the devastating impact that a brain attack takes on one’s life and the lives of those loved ones around them.
Doug Mann - Partner & IT/ Video - Audio Engineer
In 1983, Doug Mann built and began operating Audio Voyage, a full service recording studio. He joined LMA in 1991 to oversee the design and creation of LMA's Pleasanton facility. He is skilled in non-linear audio editing, computer automation and data conversion. As the industry evolved, he’s excelled at mastering the complexities of video and audio compression and the nuances associated with internet best-practices and end user compatibility for our deliverables. He now oversees all technical operations at LMA, including video and audio engineering, hardware configuration and testing, and makes sure overall that LMA's technological world is in excellent working order.
Glenn Shockley - Partner & Director of Post Production
Glenn has over 25 years of experience in the television and video industry in the LA and San Francisco areas editing national and regional broadcast commercials, network and cable television shows and corporate communications programs.
Glenn also has extensive experience in special effects and DVD authoring and programming.
Jeff Hill - Director of New Media
Jeff has definitely taken the circuitous route to becoming a web developer. Beginning his career as a musician, he gave up that life to become an audio engineer to eventually find his calling in high level development. Ten years later, with a diverse creative-media background, he is able to develop creative, functional web applications on time and on budget. Being a big proponent of open-source software and solving big challenges with many smaller tools as opposed to larger, more expensive one-size-fits-all solutions alllows for a much higher ROI (and more successful) clients.
Dan Chase - Animator
Over 20 years of experience in creating and developing healthcare-related 3D animation, including conceptual and mechanism of action sequences. Dan is skilled in 3D modeling, both real-time low polygon and cinematic high polygon, texturing, lighting, composition and animation. He is also knowledgeable in computer simulations, interactive multimedia, and broadcast video. Additional skills include the production of conceptual storyboards, prototyping and art direction.
